Knowledge of Occupancy Data

Detection via human vital sign

Humans generate micro-vibration patterns from the body as we breath in air (chest movement) and as the heart pumps blood from within. These patterns are gathered and processed by Xandar Kardian’s proprietary and patented Radar DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology to ensure that 99.9% human presence is detected in a given space.

Perfect harmy of comfort + energy savings

Automatically control lights, HVAC and other electronic devices for maximum energy savings. What makes Xandar Kardian more unique is that it does all that while never making the occupant uncomfortable due to miss detections.

Fire & Safety

Prevent fires by automatically powering down smart inductions when smoke and vacancy is detected. Upon emergency, relay presence deteection location, motion, heart rate and breathing rate information to first responders* in real-time.

* Requires 3rd party monitoring service fee.

What's different?

Competition comparison

The most commonly used motion sensors are inexpensive and simple to install. Unfortunately, it becomes clueless if any large motion is not generated by the occupant. If someone is sitting down typing on the laptop at work or watching TV on a sofa or sleeping on a bed in a hotel – motion sensors (PIR) will simply not know if the occupant(s) is still in the area or not.

In recent years, companies have started work around this by putting in various “guesstimation” logic – such as turning HVAC off when no large motion is detected for more than 15 minutes. Other companies combined motion sensors with ultrasonic sensors which listens for micro-sounds (ie: breathing) to detect presence. The problem with this has been with false alarms as any micro sound – from TV, hallway footsteps, refrigerator motors, fans, etc., can all set it off. This is why systems based on these solutions are only able to offer a “20% HVAC savings” benefit.

Energy saving + security + emergency.

Why does occupancy data matter?

The perfect partner to Google Home / Amazon Alexa. Get true occupancy data,
including occupant’s wellness and physiological status data to create the perfect automated smart home system.

Personal Emergency Response System

No camera. No wearable. No batteries to charge.

One of the key instincts in a panic situation is to call for help. Xandar Kardian’s patented SOS system utilizes the most basic natural reaction to safely request SOS assistance without false triggers.

In companion mode, “Alexa, get help.” can trigger automatically dialing “help” which can be designated to ring Xandar Kardian’s SOS system which will immediately ask for confirmation by making a wave gesture. Once confirmed, a 3rd party monitoring service provider will ring back. Presence location, motion, RHR + RR data will be available to be sent to 911 operators if in need.
