Detecting arrhythmia based on frequency analysis of received radar signals. This includes extracting radar signal corresponding to the heart beat component, analyzing a frequency component of signal, determining arrhythmia according to the magnitude of the ratio of the maximum peak value and the second largest peak value included in the frequency component.
